Soon Asleep 04:18
Desolation springs for those A cold on a midsummer's night On Moon Avenue Autumn is back Dying bluejays sing Every morning at the weeping fence Hiding in fall dark trees Lonely crying wilted leaves Underneath the old sky Many empty bedroom nights Sketchbooks filled with jasmine scented days Come away wind howling Dusty clouds of raindrop mist On a lake road towards nothing's winter now Autumn window teardrops Dripping branches scratching Rainy chimneys look out Fix their dead eyes The peak's already covered in snow Moving in now from the west Silent flowers and dried weeds Soon asleep in white emptiness

East Wall 05:25
A finished memory Caught in stirring unbelief Across the lavender horizon Grey fingers claw In the gutter where I’m who I pretend to be Lie awake waiting, bleeding out the last Fix the master heavy sleep In a room with no lights Under curtains kisses pour Alien to remorse Wounded lives like scattered ashes Lifeless naked framed forgetting Beneath their onyx surface this inborn tempest rages on Flexing dark and hateful Nothing looks the same Fading flesh grow colder Towards the scarred actors end Living of polluted water ”Just like the photographs” Morphine colored clouds gather Around a dying dawn Gone My garden is gone My old garden with the cherry tree The first It was the first ghost The first wind that blew through the flowers Perished down by the railroad Longing for the rare summer rain Shattering clouds of lonesomeness This one thing I found to tame my heart I remember everything My early years and their graves Waxing, waning, blossoms wilting Taste these dreams without sugar No, the wild can but wander Silver pavements in the rain Out of breath a thousand miles The Nameless angel does not remain Whatever I thought saw there Whatever I thought was here Whatever I thought saw there Like the garden is now gone

West Wall 08:41
Dim sunlight on frayed butterflies Settling up the hills Poolside for breakfast Wisteria in celluloid Past tattered squares in twilight Read the billboards that line the streets Blooming with their heavy lights Deep drag on a cigarette Red bar, screaming, howling from the stage Ballroom draped in candlelight and smoke Walking in the steps of a wilder youth Moon cutting through the coast Hell or heaven, what does it matter now? To say I love this city It’s streets, valleys and ravines The Santa Ana wind across my cheek To say I love this city Where falling downs slowly began Headlights approaching from a hundred years To say I love this city Mountains, beaches and heavy air Sunset-colored waiting there for you To say I love this city Unceremoniously beautiful It’s warm shadows glistening To say I love this city Dragged down bruised and bloody Deep into it’s loving embrace Hell or heaven, what does it matter now?

South Wall 05:38
Through heavenly dreams ascends Of dawns as radiant as blood, arise Let the evenings go farther still, now It all just withers down Deep black Flaxen ocean Into the waves that you Slowly make Deep Black Flaxen ocean Drown in the waves that you Slowly make Walking in the blue light Shades of amber, vermillion, windows Cruel scars on pale marble An image that echoes the answer Deep black Flaxen ocean Into the waves that you Slowly make Deep Black Flaxen ocean Drown in the waves that you Slowly make The soul takes a long bath No more, the flower is gone No eternal land to flee to, now What to do with the darkness? Deep black Flaxen ocean Into the waves that you Slowly make Deep Black Flaxen ocean Drown in the waves that you Slowly make

about

A cross-disciplinary project which renders music in three disciplines.

The music, paintings and the embroidered garments are all governed by the three pitch-class sets portrayed geometrically in the embroideries.

These PC-sets control every aspect of the work including musical/pictorial composition, choice of colors and the form of the embroideries.

See SoundCloud/Instagram for the paintings and garments for the individual tracks.
